Kevin Geiger

Kevin Geiger is the founding fundraising partner and currently serves as the Finance Director for Future Forward, a data-driven creative engine powering advertising behind issues and elections. His past and current other Blue Wave clients include --President Joe Biden, U.S. Sen. Maria Cantwell, Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp-Perez, Rep. Marilyn Strickland, Building Back Together, Gen-z for Change, and many other national organizations and candidates running for office. Kevin started his political career in Seattle while he was waiting tables and stocking beer and interning on campaigns. He also worked at the Seattle Office of the Waterfront which is why it’s fitting he now serves on the Friends of Waterfront board. Originally from New York, he has spent significant time living in Egypt and Canada, and is based now in Seattle with his husband Jeremie and their dog and two cats. -

Samantha Peterson

Samantha (Sam) Peterson is a seasoned digital campaigner with over a decade of experience in fundraising, public affairs, and online organizing. At Blue Wave, she leads cutting-edge digital strategy and online fundraising efforts nationwide. Renowned for her award-winning digital campaigns, Sam has raised millions of dollars for some of the nation’s most competitive Senate, House, and statewide races. Her expertise has supported prominent leaders, including Washington’s Senator Maria Cantwell, Congresswoman Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland, and Attorney General Bob Ferguson. -
Ryan Baukol

Ryan Baukol is a longtime California based Democratic fundraiser and strategist. Prior to joining Blue Wave, Ryan served as the President of Ryan Baukol Consulting, Inc. His past and current clients include - President Obama, President Biden, Gov. Gavin Newsom, CA Attorney General Rob Bonta, Democratic Governors Association, Sen. Jon Tester. He is a graduate of UCLA and the Pepperdine School of Law. Ryan and his family live in Los Angeles, CA. -

Lora Haggard

Lora Haggard has over 25 years of experience providing compliance, accounting and reporting services to political committees and non profit organizations. She has served as Treasurer for four presidential campaigns: Edwards for President John Edwards for President, Bernie 2016, and Bernie 2020, numerous Senate and Congressional Races, Gubernatorial/AG, and State Legislative Campaigns, and a multitude of nonprofit organizations. -

Maura Matthews

Maura Matthews has over a decade of fundraising experience and leads the firm's fundraising operations on the East Coast. She recently served as the finance director for Governor Steve Bullock’s presidential campaign and previously led the fundraising efforts for his leadership PAC in the lead up to the campaign. She is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame. Maura, her husband, and their dog Zambezi live in Washington, D.C. -

Jay Petterson

Jay Petterson has 23 years of compliance, reporting and accounting experience. He has held positions with several political committees including John Edwards for President, Maria Cantwell for U.S. Senate, Patty Murray for U.S. Senate and has administered various joint fundraising committees on behalf of federal candidates. Jay also worked in the compliance department at the Democratic National Committee for over three years supervising compliance research. In 2012, Jay managed Sen. Maria Cantwell’s reelection campaign. Jay’s clients include Patty Murray for U.S. Senate, John Fetterman for U.S. Senate, Lisa Blunt Rochester for U.S. Senate, Angela Alsobrooks for U.S. Senate Sharice Davids for Congress, Steven Horsford for Congress, Sara Jacobs for Congress, and Joe Morelle for Congress.

Chad Hunter
FUNDRAISING DIRECTOR
Chad Hunter has a long track record leading fundraising efforts for political campaigns. He has worked on dozens of Local, State, and Federal campaigns the last eight election cycles in 13 different states, including targeted Congressional and Legislative races and successful statewide campaigns. When not helping candidates run for office, Chad lives in Seattle and spends his time with his wife and 6 year old dog Benjamin.

Olac Fuentes
FUNDRAISING DIRECTOR
Originally from Mexico City, Olac Fuentes has over 9 years of fundraising experience in the United States and most recently served as a candidate fundraising director at the DCCC. He previously served as finance director on Senator Ben Ray Luján’s senate campaign. Olac, his partner, and their two cats (Buffy and Cat) live in Washington, DC. When he’s not fundraising or on the road, he’s on his bike training for his next race.

Kirstyn Rowen
ACCOUNT DIRECTOR, DIGITAL
Kirstyn Rowen brings 8 years of experience leading multi-channel digital programs for political campaigns, PACs, party committees, and nonprofits nationwide. With a background in both agencies and campaigns, she drives data-backed digital fundraising and acquisition programs that have raised tens of millions of dollars through optimized email, SMS, and advertising efforts. Originally from Phoenix, Kirstyn now lives in Kansas City with her fiancé, two dogs, and two cats.

Savoy Adams Jr (he/him)
Compliance Associate
Savoy joined the Bluewave team in September 2024. Born and raised in Baltimore City, he has a background in sociology and design thinking, with a deep passion for education reform and prison reform. Savoy is dedicated to addressing systemic issues and making a positive impact on Black and Brown communities. A fun fact about him is that he lives by the philosophy that "Attitude is Gratitude."

Mark Alpert (he/him)
Senior Compliance Associate
Mark joined Blue Wave's compliance team in 2024, focusing on nonprofit compliance. Prior to Blue Wave, Mark worked in the administration/finance department of a progressive 501c3 organization for several years. He graduated from Muhlenberg College with a B.A. in Philosophy and a minor in Political Science.
Fun Fact: Justice Sonia Sotomayor almost shook my hand once. -

Marshanike Biggs (she/her)
Fundraising Associate
Marshanike joined Blue Wave in 2024 as a fundraising associate. Marshanike was the program assistant intern in 2023 for Emerge Washington. She graduated from Mississippi State University with a communications degree in Public Relations. In her free time, she enjoys reading.

Max Brown (he/him)
Compliance Associate
Max Brown is a Compliance Associate at Blue Wave, where he supports campaign finance operations for candidates at the federal, state, and local levels. He joined the firm in 2025 after graduating from Colorado College with a degree in International Political Economy. Originally from Alaska, Max has experience working in economic development, clean energy technology policy, and with international NGOs.
Fun Fact: I crossed the Pacific Ocean on a sailboat twice. -

Christopher Clevenger (he/him)
Senior Compliance Associate
Christopher joined Blue Wave in May of 2022, and serves as a Senior Compliance Associate with experience in federal campaign committees, PACs, joint fundraising committees, and state party committees. Previously, he worked for over a decade managing races and political strategy at the local, state and federal level in Ohio. In addition to his work at Blue Wave, Christopher serves in leadership positions in his local Democratic Party, and for the Young Democrats locally, state-wide, and nationally.
Fun Fact: I grew up on a 1,000 acre farm in rural Ohio, where my neighbor kept a pet lion next door.

Ethan Crawford (he/him/they/them)
Compliance Associate
Ethan Crawford is a Compliance Associate with a background rooted in Virginia politics and a growing career in Washington, D.C. He graduated in 2024 with a B.S. in Public Policy Administration and is currently pursuing an M.A. in Global Commerce & Policy. He worked on 4 different Virginia campaigns, along with a formative internship in D.C., which sparked his passion for the political world. He has since developed a strong interest in campaign finance and compliance, where he enjoys the mix of precision, problem-solving, and supporting Democratic candidates. Outside of work, Ethan loves to travel and is a proud dog dad.
Fun Fact: I blew up on TikTok in 2020 and gained over 20 million views.

Claire Devine (she/her)
Fundraising Manager
Claire joined Blue Wave’s Seattle fundraiser team in May of 2021. Claire brings 4 years of local campaign management experience and holds degrees in Political Science and Communications from Western Washington University. Claire was also one of the co-founders of the College Democrats of Washington State. In her spare time, she’s busy learning new pottery techniques and doing yoga.
Fun Fact: My cat has gone viral online multiple times for being so cute.

Lucía Dorantes (she/her)
Compliance Manager
Lucía started as an intern at Blue Wave during the 2018 cycle and then she joined the compliance team full-time in 2019. She works on numerous congressional and senate races across the country as well as a handful of races in Washington State. When she is not crunching the numbers, Lucia enjoys reality television, reading, and all things pop culture.
Fun Fact: When I was 14 I hosted an episode of MTV Extreme Cribs.

Casey Duff
Fundraising Manager
Casey Duff is an experienced political professional with a proven track record for fundraising, relationship building and outreach. Prior to joining Blue Wave, Casey spent nearly 6 years working for Senator Maria Cantwell, where he was a Regional Outreach Director before being asked to join her 2024 reelection campaign as State Finance Director. Casey hails from Tumwater, Washington where he got his start in politics during High School as an intern for Congressman Denny Heck. Casey graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in Political Science and can often be found at Husky Stadium on fall Saturdays.

Elena Ehlert (she/her)
Digital Strategist
Elena is a Senior Digital Strategist with Blue Wave’s Digital Team. A Seattle native now based in Washington, D.C., she helps run digital programs for national, state, and local candidates and organizations. Before joining Blue Wave, she held roles with the City of San Diego, U.S. Senator Alex Padilla, and the National Democratic Redistricting Committee. Outside of work, Elena loves spending time outdoors, catching up on podcasts, practicing yoga, and traveling.

Kelli Elliott (she/her)
Payroll Manager
Kelli joined us in March of 2025 as Blue Wave's Payroll Manager. Before stepping into this role, she served as the State Operations Director for Revolution Field Strategies and Ethos Organizing on the Harris-Walz campaign, where she managed multi-state operations and payroll. Kelli is passionate about progressive change and when she isn't busy crunching numbers or registering campaigns she can be found cruising or spending time with her two fur-babies.

Nola Farrell (she/her)
Fundraising Assistant
Nola started as an intern in Blue Wave’s Seattle office in 2021 before joining the DC fundraising team full-time in 2023. Prior to Blue Wave, she interned in the office of Senator Maria Cantwell. Nola graduated from the University of Vermont with dual degrees in Political Science and Psychology.

Charlotte Furman (she/her)
Fundraising Associate
Charlotte joined Blue Wave in November 2024. A Boston native, she graduated from Colorado College with a degree in Political Science. Before joining Blue Wave, Charlotte worked as a field organizer for the Montana Democrats in 2020 and the Washington State Democrats in King County in 2024.
Fun fact: Charlotte used to guide kayaking trips in Alaska! -

Alan Hawkins (he/him)
Compliance Assistant
Alan joined Blue Wave in October 2022 and handles data entry for multiple candidates and committees. Alan has worked for Disney, IBM and State Farm over the years. Alan lives in Orlando Florida with his Wife Barb.
Fun Fact: Before working for Disney I was there as a guest more than 20 times. -

Jim Henry (he/him)
Senior Compliance Associate
Jim joined Blue Wave's DC team as a compliance associate in November 2021 after moving to DC on New Year's Eve 2020. He was born and raised in President Eisenhower's hometown of Abilene, Kansas. In college he was a fellow for President Biden's campaign out of Iowa. After graduating with his business degree from Washburn University, Jim worked on Topeka Mayor Michelle De La Isla's congressional campaign in KS-02. In his free time he enjoys listening to audiobooks, binge watching Marvel movies, and working the occasional NFL game.
Fun Fact: I started a business in college that focused on raising crickets and other insects to create a natural protein powder for people. The business school magazine featured our team on its cover as "The Cricket Guys". Also a deep lover of the SF 49ers.

Tessa Kilcline is a fundraising professional with experience in local, legislative, judicial, and statewide campaigns. She has managed record-breaking fundraising programs, including the highest-raising judicial and State Representative campaigns in Washington state history. Tessa is a graduate of New York University, and before joining Blue Wave, she interned at EMILYs List. Originally from Bellingham, Washington, she now lives in Seattle.

Kristi Mealor (she/her)
Senior Compliance Associate
Kristi joined Blue Wave in October 2015 and assists in the compliance needs of federal and state candidates and committees. Kristi graduated from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1999 and worked as a corporate trainer with AT&T for 13 years. Kristi lives in Georgia with her husband Kenny and 2 children.
Fun Fact: I am a Disney addict and have visited 15 times.

Eli Oldfield (they/them)
Compliance Manager
Eli joined the Blue Wave Seattle compliance team in January 2018. Eli serves as treasurer for local Washington state races, and manages compliance for candidates and political action committees at the statewide and federal level. Previously Eli worked in international manufacturing specializing in logistics and trade compliance.
Fun Fact: I snuck into a closed taping of the Rachel Maddow show at a rooftop club in Las Vegas.

Jose joined Blue Wave’s Seattle fundraising team in June of 2022. He graduated with his BA from the University of Washington in 2022, majoring in Political Economy. In his free time he enjoys going to the gym and reading.

Deon Rosado (he/him)
Compliance Associate
Deon joined Blue Wave's Compliance team in July 2024. He graduated from Dickinson College in Spring 2024 where he earned a degree in Political Science and served as Senior Class President, working closely alongside college leadership. Deon was awarded Dickinson's Hufstader Prize, an honor awarded annually to two graduating seniors who have made significant contributions to the good of the college. In his free time, Deon is an advid Real Housewives and Olivia Pope enthusiast who enjoys watching talk shows such as The View.

Sean has nearly a decade of compliance experience, working on all levels of races from City Council to President. He was born and raised in San Antonio (with a brief stint in Guam sandwiched in) and is an alum of the University of Houston, where he double majored in Political Science and History. He can probably be found searching D.C. for their best Tex-Mex.
Fun Fact: I once visited a coffee collective in the mountains of Colombia, where I got to drink delicious, freshly harvested coffee while watching the sunset. This was followed up with a game of Tejo (Imagine Cornhole but with explosives). -

Amy Young (she/her)
Chief of Staff
Originally from Ohio, Amy joined Blue Wave as Chief of Staff in April, 2024, bringing over 25 years of strategic management experience in the political community. She has managed and led a number of Democratic and progressive organizations, directing projects, operations and people.
Fun fact: I love coaching for Girls on the Run (3rd - 5th grade girls) so much that I'm still doing it even though my daughters aged out years ago.
